Zamboanga Sibugay — In a significant breakthrough in the campaign against criminality, the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office (ZSBPPO), in coordination with Ipil Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 9 (RIU 9) PIT ZSB, Regional Intelligence Division RA9, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, successfully apprehended one of Titay’s most wanted individuals.

The suspect, a 31-year-old male, ranked No. 6 on Titay’s Municipal Level Most Wanted Persons (MWP) list, was arrested around 10:00 AM on July 1, 2025, at Purok Greenfield, Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. He was taken into custody by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Presiding Judge of Branch 9, Family Court, Ninth Judicial Region, for the crime of Statutory Rape, under Paragraph (IND), Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 8353. The court order, dated June 25, 2025, carried no bail recommendation.

The suspect was brought to Ipil Municipal Police Station for documentation and the filing of appropriate legal actions.

ZSBPPO Provincial Director, Police Colonel Barnard Danie V. Dasugo, lauded the efforts of the operating units, emphasizing the police force’s unwavering commitment to justice.

“This successful operation underscores our firm commitment to bring to justice those accused of crimes, particularly those who victimize the most vulnerable members of our society,” Col. Dasugo said. “I commend the dedication and teamwork of our personnel who carried out this mission with utmost professionalism and adherence to the rule of law.”

He further assured the public that the ZSBPPO, guided by its core pillars of Swift and Responsive Police Service, Professionalism, and Accountability and Transparency, will continue to pursue fugitives and uphold its sworn duty to serve and protect.

Authorities reiterated that this arrest is part of an ongoing and intensified law enforcement campaign to eradicate criminal elements and safeguard communities across the province.
