Zamboanga del Sur honored its first batch of BSN scholars now newly registered nurses whose success was made possible through the provincial government’s scholarship program aimed at strengthening local healthcare services.

The Provincial Government proudly recognized the newly registered nurses who recently passed the Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE), marking a significant milestone for the pioneering batch of Zamboanga del Sur BSN Scholars.

The scholars, who each received ₱25,000 per semester under the provincial scholarship program initiated by former Governor Victor J. Yu, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Divina Grace C. Yu together with the former governor. The program was established to address the growing need for competent healthcare professionals in the province and to support deserving students pursuing a career in nursing.

During the visit, the scholars expressed their deep gratitude to the provincial leadership and their families for the support that enabled them to complete their studies. They also acknowledged Blancia College Foundation Inc. in Molave for providing quality education and guidance throughout their training.

Governor Yu commended the board passers for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to public service, urging them to uphold excellence and compassion as they begin their professional journey in the healthcare sector.
