Top 9 Most Wanted in Zamboanga del Sur Arrested in Lapuyan Police Operation

Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur — A 50-year-old man listed as the Top 9 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level was arrested by authorities during a joint law enforcement operation in Lapuyan on the evening of July 11, 2025.

The arrest took place at Purok Linaw-Gabi, Barangay Sayog at approximately 9:35 PM and was carried out by combined personnel from the Lapuyan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office – Provincial Intelligence and Detection Management Unit (ZSPPO PIDMU), Dinas MPS, Margosatubig MPS, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 9 of the PNP Intelligence Group (ZSPIT RIU9 PNP-IG).

The suspect, identified as Alfredo, a farmer and resident of Barangay Sumpotan, Dinas, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 29 in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur on April 22, 2025, for the crime of Robbery with Physical Injuries. The warrant carries a recommended bail of ₱100,000.

Following his arrest, the suspect was brought into the custody of the Lapuyan MPS for the filing of appropriate legal charges and further processing.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reiterated its strong commitment to its intensified campaign against wanted persons. Authorities are encouraging the public to assist in the maintenance of peace and order by reporting the presence of fugitives and criminal elements in their localities.
