Top 4 Provincial Most Wanted Arrested in Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur

Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur — Authorities apprehended one of the province’s most wanted individuals during a joint law enforcement operation conducted at around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13,2025 in Barangay Tungawan, Sominot.

The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Joven, a habal-habal driver and resident of Poblacion, Sominot, was arrested by operatives from the Sominot Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga del Sur Police Drug Enforcement Unit (ZSPDEU), and members of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) of the 53rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army - Sigapod Base.

Joven is listed as the Top 4 Most Wanted Person at the Provincial Level and Top 1 at the Municipal Level under the Philippine National Police’s Enhanced E-Warrant System.

The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Qualified Rape, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 30 in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, dated July 8, 2025. No bail was recommended.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Sominot Municipal Police Station for proper legal proceedings.

Authorities lauded the successful coordination between police units and the military, reaffirming their continued commitment to pursuing justice and maintaining peace and order in the region.
