The Philippine National Police (PNP) has expressed its gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. following his announcement of an impending increase in the base pay of Military and Uniformed Personnel (MUP).

Acting PNP Chief Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the President’s directive will further motivate police personnel to strengthen their commitment to safeguarding communities across the country.

He added that the PNP appreciates the administration’s continued support for uniformed services not only through the planned salary hike but also through the previously announced increase in subsistence allowances in the coming years.

The PNP reiterated its alignment with the government’s efforts to reinforce peace and security nationwide, emphasizing its dedication to upholding professionalism and protecting the rights of every Filipino.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) earlier conveyed similar appreciation to the Commander-in-Chief for prioritizing the welfare of the country’s uniformed personnel and acknowledging their sacrifices for the nation.
