ALFONSO, CAVITE — Young innovators from Pagadian City are proudly representing the Zamboanga Peninsula at the 72nd 4-H National Farm Youth Convention, held at Camp Benjamin, Alfonso, Cavite, with the theme “HARVEST through the 4H Milestone: Harnessing Agricultural Resilience through Vision, Education, Sustainability, and Technology.”

The delegation is composed of Julie Ann Tabat, James Victor Taruc, and Gemimah Prete, who earned their place at the national stage after winning at the regional level. They are competing in the 4-H Agri Innovation Pitching Contest, showcasing innovative solutions designed to promote sustainable agriculture.

Guiding the team is coach Jessa Anggot, alongside Rowena Soria, the 4-H Pagadian Coordinator, who has been instrumental in preparing the students for this prestigious competition. Adding strength to the delegation is Jay-R Panong, the Region IX Federated 4-H Club President, also proudly hailing from Pagadian City.

The delegates expressed their gratitude to the City Government of Pagadian for extending financial support and ensuring that the youth representatives could bring pride not only to the city but to the entire Zamboanga Peninsula Region.

This year’s convention gathers the brightest young minds in agriculture across the Philippines, with the goal of cultivating leadership, resilience, and innovation among farm youth. For the Pagadian team, it is not only a chance to compete but also to share their vision of a more sustainable agricultural future.
