Mayor Sammy Co Takes Oath for Final Term in Pagadian City

PagadianCity, Zamboanga del Sur – In a formal ceremony held at the Asenso Convention Center in Rotunda Hills on June 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM, Pagadian City Mayor Samuel "Sammy" S. Co officially took his oath of office for his third and final term.

Mayor Co was joined by newly elected Councilor Lance Samuel F. Co and re-elected Councilor Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, who also took their oaths during the event. The oath-taking was administered by Hon. Dennis P. Vicoy, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 20.

The ceremony featured local cultural presentations from the Melengas Dance Ensemble and the Pagadian City Tourism Council. Maribel C. Estoqüia, CLGOO of Pagadian City, delivered the opening remarks.

Also sworn into office were local officials from various municipalities in Zamboanga del Sur’s 1st and 2nd Districts, including:

From the 2nd District:

• Municipality of Dumalinao – Councilors

• Municipality of Lakewood – Vice Mayor Arnel B. Pano and Councilors

• Municipality of Dinas – Vice Mayor Muads A. Maulana and Councilors

• Municipality of Tabina – Mayor Juhaine A. Malaco and Councilors

• Municipality of San Pablo – Mayor Divine Taucan-Anghad, Vice Mayor Flavio P. Cordero Jr., and Councilors

• Municipality of Guipos – Mayor Vicente P. Cajeta, Vice Mayor Merlyn U. Rabe, and Councilors

• Municipality of Kumalarang – Mayor Ruel G. Molina, Vice Mayor Pinky P. Molina, and Councilors

From the 1st District:

• Municipality of Dumingag – Councilors

Inaugural speeches were delivered by the newly sworn-in mayors, including Mayor Juhaine A. Malaco (Tabina), Mayor Vicente P. Cajeta (Guipos), Mayor Ruel G. Molina (Kumalarang), Mayor Divine Taucan-Anghad (San Pablo), and Mayor Samuel S. Co (Pagadian City).

The event concluded with inspirational messages from Mayor Eduardo D. Relacion, Congresswoman Aurora E. Cerilles, and Mayor Junaflor S. Cerilles, followed by a unity song, photo opportunity, and fellowship.
