InfraComm Ready to Summon Speaker Romualdez if Tied to Flood Control Anomalies

The House Infrastructure Committee has expressed readiness to summon Speaker Martin Romualdez should evidence surface linking him to alleged irregularities in flood control projects.

This development follows the call of Cavite Representative Kiko Barzaga, who earlier suggested that the Speaker be investigated over supposed anomalies in infrastructure programs.

However, InfraComm Co-Chair Terry Ridon emphasized that Barzaga must provide clear details and sufficient evidence before the committee can take action on his claims.

“As part of our existing protocol, if House members are implicated in anomalous infrastructure and flood control projects, they are given the right to respond before the committee,” Ridon explained. “
