Ibajay, Aklan Vice Mayor Shot Dead by his Councilor Inside Session Hall

Ibajay, Aklan — Vice Mayor Julio Estolloso was shot dead by Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member Mihrel Senatin inside the Sangguniang Bayan Office of Ibajay, Aklan on Friday morning.

According to initial reports, Estolloso sustained six gunshot wounds to the head and chest. He was immediately rushed to the Ibajay District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.

Following the incident, Senatin voluntarily surrendered to the Ibajay Municipal Police Station and is now in police custody.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting.
