The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with Zamboanga del Sur Governor Divina Grace Yu and Tukuran Mayor Macario R. Tingson, led the official turnover of a ₱600,000 Seed Capital Fund to the Baclay Small Livelihood Project Association (SLPA) on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Barangay Baclay, Tukuran.

The fund will be utilized to support the group’s livelihood ventures, including milling services and buy-and-sell operations for rice, corn, and charcoal. The initiative aims to boost the economic capacity of SLPA members, create local employment opportunities, and contribute to improving the overall quality of life in the community.

The turnover ceremony was attended by officials from the DSWD, the provincial and municipal governments, and members of the Baclay SLPA, underscoring the government’s continuing commitment to empowering grassroots associations through sustainable livelihood programs.
