DOH Launches “Community Watchline” for Idle Super Health Centers

The Department of Health (DOH) will open a new “Community Watchline” to allow citizens to directly report inactive or unfinished Super Health Centers nationwide.

Starting Monday, the initiative officially called “Oplan Bantay Super Health” will enable the public to submit photos and videos as evidence of stalled health facilities in their localities.

Health Secretary Ted Herbosa said the program aims to fast-track government action, ensure proper fund utilization, and strengthen transparency in public health infrastructure projects. The initiative forms part of the Citizen Participatory Audit, which empowers citizens to take part in monitoring government projects.

Meanwhile, the DOH continues to investigate long-delayed facilities in Marikina and Antipolo, while the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) reviews a list of more than 300 non-operational Super Health Centers across the country.

The DOH urged the public to actively participate by reporting idle centers to guarantee that these facilities serve their intended purpose. The ICI has pledged full support for the campaign against negligence and project delays in the health sector.
