DI-MAUTE MEMBER KILLED IN CLASH IN SALVADOR, LANAO DEL NORTE

A top Dawlah Islamiya–Maute Group member was killed during a 20-minute armed encounter with government forces in Sitio Palangakon, Barangay Pawak, Salvador, Lanao del Norte, on Sunday.

The fatality was identified as Ibrahim Ampaso, also known by his aliases “Ibra” and “Abu Raas,” listed as the No. 4 Priority Security Risk (PSR) target in the area.

Troops recovered two M16A1 rifles, two M14 rifles, a M203 grenade launcher, and various war materials from the encounter site.
