Dawn of Divine duty: Gov. Divina grace Yu takes oath, Vows stronger leadership for Zamboanga Del Sur

ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR — Marking the start of a new chapter in the province's leadership, newly elected Governor Divina Grace C. Yu officially took her oath of office on Monday, June 30, before Judge Romeo T. Descallar, signifying her readiness to lead the province with firm resolve and heartfelt service.

The ceremony, held in the presence of family, friends, supporters, and provincial officials, symbolized what Governor Yu described as the “Dawn of Divine Duty” — a commitment to uplift the lives of every ZamboSurian through transparent governance, community-centered programs, and dynamic development efforts.

In her inaugural message, Governor Yu reaffirmed her dedication to continue and strengthen the H.E.A.R.T.S. Agenda a legacy of service prioritizing Health, Education, Agriculture, Roads, Tourism, and Social Services. She further introduced a renewed thrust branded as Strong F.I.S.T.S., which stands for Fiscal discipline, Infrastructure development, Security enhancement, Transparent governance, and Sustainable growth.

Supporters from across the province lauded her message, expressing confidence in her ability to bring continuity and innovation to the provincial government.

As she steps into office, Gov. Yu becomes a symbol of both continuity and progress   building on existing programs while introducing reforms designed to meet the evolving needs of ZamboSur's diverse communities.

With the fusion of compassion and courage the heart and the fist Governor Divina Grace C. Yu begins her term with a vision of hope and strength for all ZamboSurians.
