CABINET MEMBERS TO MEET ON POSSIBLE PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF THEIR SALNs

Malacañang confirmed that members of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Cabinet will meet on October 25 to discuss the possible public disclosure of their Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).

The meeting follows the Ombudsman’s decision to ease access to SALN documents and recent moves by lawmakers to release theirs.

Communications Usec. Claire Castro said the issue of voluntarily releasing Cabinet members’ SALNs will be among the key agenda items.

President Marcos Jr. earlier said he is open to making his own SALN public if requested by the Ombudsman or the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
