Panabo City, Davao del Norte – June 15, 2025 The lifeless body of a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing has been recovered this afternoon in the waters of the Lasang River, near the boundary of Barangay Datu Abdul in Panabo City.

According to local authorities, the body was discovered at around 12:43 PM by a concerned resident, Mr. Geovanni Salcedo, who immediately alerted authorities after spotting the remains floating along the JP Laurel–Lasang River.

Responding swiftly to the report, personnel from the Panabo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) proceeded to the area and successfully retrieved the body of the young victim. The remains were subsequently brought to the Goodlife Memorial Chapel in Barangay Salvacion for proper handling and identification.

Officials have yet to release further details pending a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
