Barbers Rejects Tiangco’s Call for House ‘Overhaul,’ Affirms Romualdez’s Strong Support

Former Surigao del Norte Representative Robert Ace Barbers, now Chief Communications Officer of the Office of the Speaker, rejected the call of Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco for a “total overhaul” of the House of Representatives, describing it as “nothing more than the voice of frustration.”

Barbers emphasized that Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez continues to enjoy the strong and unwavering support of the supermajority coalition.

He also dismissed the allegations of irregularities in flood control projects as “baseless, lacking evidence, and stemming from polluted origins.”

“The House of Representatives stands solid and united. We will not be distracted by intrigues or political sour grapes,” Barbers said.
