The 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division of the Philippine Army was formally recognized at Malacañang after receiving a Plaque of Recognition from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for achieving the second-highest rating in the CGPA Streamer for Overall Excellence for Calendar Year 2025.


The award was personally conferred by President Marcos in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, underscoring the division’s significant contributions to strengthening the mission and development of the Philippine Army.


Maj. Gen. Yegor Rey P. Barroquillo Jr., Division Commander, accepted the recognition on behalf of the entire unit.
Military officials said the award reflects the division’s continued commitment to delivering quality service and its unwavering dedication to duty.


In his message, Lt. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, commended the division for its consistent pursuit of excellence and adherence to the highest standards of military service.


President Marcos also expressed his appreciation for the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, emphasizing that discipline and a strong sense of mission among military units are key to further strengthening the Philippine Army.
