House Reviews Revised Travel Request of Davao Rep. Paolo Duterte

The House of Representatives has received and is currently reviewing the revised travel request of Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte, confirmed Atty. Marmoi Salonga, Executive Director of the Office of the Secretary General.

The initial request, submitted on December 1, 2025, sought approval for a trip spanning 17 countries from December 15, 2025, to February 20, 2026. Due to potential overlap with official House sessions, lawmakers requested additional details and a revised itinerary.

On December 15, Duterte submitted a revised request covering travel from January 3 to January 30, 2026, now limited to the Netherlands and Australia.

The trip aims to visit his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, currently detained in The Hague, and to see his child studying in Australia. Duterte indicated that all expenses will be covered using personal funds.

The House continues to review the revised travel request in accordance with existing rules and administrative processes, taking into account institutional requirements and the official session calendar.
